Overview

The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the life of every child in the country. It has been an unprecedented and challenging period for parents as well as volunteers and professionals that work with children. A period in which many have had learn new skills in the support of a child’s mental and spiritual development. Volunteers and professionals have had to think outside the box and look for new ways to engage children. Both adults and children will have had different experiences of the pandemic, some may have enjoyed their experience of the lockdown, built closer relationships and experienced new opportunities to explore and learn but for others it may have been challenging or even traumatic. As a result, returning to any form of normality will be difficult for families, church leaders, volunteers and children.

'ENGAGING OUR CHILDREN AFTER COVID-19' is a 1-day online conference for church leaders, volunteers, parents, and professionals working with children. To provide practical tools and ideas on how we can engage with our children beyond the pandemic, as well as rebuild relationship with parents and volunteers. The sessions will also enable discussions, provide resources, provoke a ‘can do attitude’, opportunities to connect with others and a chance to pose questions – and of course, time for fun!

QUESTIONS WE WOULD ADDRESS

  • How can I build a child’s godly identify?

  • What is the volunteer code and how can this be used to better support and recruit volunteers?

  • What can we do to build a stronger partnership with parents?

About Us

Manthano aim to support anyone involved in the life of a child. We recognise that every child is special, with unique combinations of abilities and needs. Therefore, it is important that this is reflected in our practices, as we raise up godly children that are confident learners, strong in faith and resilient.

Parents and Teachers Working Together
It was found that the parent provides the foundation on which teachers are able to build further structures. It is therefore important that parents and teachers work together to help support the development of every child, in every area of their life.

Teach Me To Teach
Teach Me To Teach is a gathering of people who are dedicated to the spiritual growth of children; parents, church volunteers, ministry leaders, and anyone who has a passion for ministering to children.

Training Modules
It was found that the parent provides the foundation on which teachers are able to build further structures. It is therefore important that parents and teachers work together to help support the development of every child, in every area of their life.

The passion of Manthano CMT is to see godly children with the specific skill sets required for leadership. The sessions are highly interactive and full of practical tips, tools and techniques that people can use immediately. Contact us anytime at info@manthano.co.uk
